Privacy Policy

    Effective date: February 13, 2026

This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. It does not constitute legal advice.

    1. Information We Collect

When you use FourSight, we collect the following categories of data:

    • Account information — email address and display name provided at signup.
    • Organization & team membership — org names, member roles, and associations between users and organizations.
    • Monitor configuration — URLs, domains, check intervals, and notification preferences you configure.
    • Monitoring results — uptime check outcomes, response times, status codes, SSL/DNS data, and incident records generated by the service.
    • Billing metadata — Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan keys, and billing period dates. We never store raw credit card numbers; all payment processing is handled by Stripe.
    • Email delivery logs — records of alert and notification emails sent, including delivery status and timestamps.

    2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

    • Service operation — running your monitors, detecting outages, and displaying results.
    • Alerting — sending email and other notifications when monitors change status or incidents occur.
    • Billing — processing payments, managing subscriptions, and enforcing plan limits.
    • Support — responding to your questions and troubleshooting issues.
    • Security — protecting accounts, detecting abuse, and maintaining service integrity.
    • Improvement — understanding usage patterns to improve reliability and features (aggregated, never sold).

    3. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third parties, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service:

    • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your billing metadata to manage subscriptions and charges. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
    • MailerSend — email delivery. MailerSend processes recipient email addresses and message content to deliver alert notifications.
    • Hosting infrastructure — our backend infrastructure hosts your data with encryption at rest and in transit.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

    4. Data Retention

Retention periods vary by data type and plan:

    • Monitor check data — retained for 24 hours on the Free plan, 7 days on Basic, and 30 days on Pro.
    • Incident history — retained for the duration of your account.
    • Account & billing data — retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
    • Email delivery logs — retained for 30 days.

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Some aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics.

    5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

    • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
    • Authentication uses secure, hashed credentials — we never store passwords in plain text.
    • Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
    • Database access is governed by row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own organization's data.

No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please contact us at [email protected].

    6. Your Rights

    You have the right to:

    • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
    • Correction — update or correct inaccurate information via your account settings.
    • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
    • Export — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
    • Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-essential email communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

    7. Cookies & Analytics

    FourSight uses minimal cookies:

    • Authentication cookies — required to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
    • Preferences — used to remember settings like your selected organization.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We do not run Google Analytics or similar user-tracking services.

    8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

    9. Related Policies

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which governs your use of FourSight.
